Jacob Eason Remains Georgia’s Starting Quarterback Going Into the Season

Hoover, AL-(WDEF) Georgia took the spot light at SEC Media Days on Tuesday morning bringing arguably the best backfield in the SEC to answer questions.
Sony Michel is a physical runner who puts fear in most defenders, but fellow running back Nick Chubb did tell us something that scared Sony when he first arrived in Athens.
Said Chubb:”He was kinda scared about somethings He was worried about crickets they chirp at night”
When the questions weren’t centered around bugs, they actually talked some football.
After Freshman quarterback Jake Fromm stole the spot light during the spring game, many are asking how safe is Jacob Eason
Said head coach Kirby Smart:”I don’t know that right now there is a decision. The decision comes and is based on how Jake Fromm performs and how Jacob Eason performs.
But you know Jacob Eason is our starter coming into the season, so Jake Fromm has got to do something to beat him out.
Will Jake Fromm push Jacob Eason? Yeah he already has, and I think he has made Jacob respect the game and understand that knowing the ins and outs of every play is really important”
Said Chubb:”They are working hard they are pushing each other. I think Jacob needs to be pushed and that Fromm is hungry, and he is chasing, and they are going to create a great quarterback who ever wins the job”
Regardless who is under center for the Bulldogs this year, the goal is to be better this year than last year, and only one thing defines a successful season
Said Chubb:”Well definitely win more games that kind of determines your season. How many games you win, and how well you play”
UGA will get a chance to grab their first win of the season on September 2nd against Appalachian State.
