Johnthony Walker bond reduced for Woodmore bus crash
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) -Judge Don Poole has granted a lower bond for the bus driver accused in the deadly Woodmore crash.
He cut the bond in half for Johnthony Walker.
The 25 year old has been in jail since the crash last November that killed six students.
The judge cited several factors in reducing the bond, including no previous trouble by Walker, his job history, and personal recommendations of his character.
The terms under which he could be released on bond have not been revealed.
Walker still faces 34 counts from the wreck.
District attorney general Neal Pinkston argued against his release during Walker’s last court appearance.
