Johnthony Walker makes his first court appearance over Woodmore bus crash

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Bus driver Johnthony Walker made his first appearance in court Tuesday morning on the vehicular homicide charges he faces from the Woodmore crash.

He did not enter a plea today.

Instead he waived his right to a hearing in the first 10 days of his arrest.

They set a December 15th date for his next hearing.

He will remain in jail on more than $107,000 bond.

His attorney, Amanda Dunn, made a statement after court.

“We hopeful that the investigation can conclude quickly and we have a better understanding of what occurred last Monday. As he sits in jail right now, Mr. Walker is an innocent man. In the eyes of the law, he is an innocent man and he will remain so until proven otherwise.
