Lafayette Issues Reminder About Water Conservation

Lafayette, GA (WDEF)   Although no emergency water plans are in effect, the city of Lafayette issues a reminder that Georgia’s Water Stewardship Act is currently in force.

The law calls on consumers to conserve water.

Outdoor watering can only be done between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. by anyone whose water is supplied by a E-P-D permitted water system.

Things like athletic fields and personal food gardens are exempt. You can also water landscaping with a hose or hand-held container any time of day.
