Latest Chattanooga drive-by shooting hits a child

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga police are investigating another drive-by shooting.

But this time the victim is a child.

Chattanooga police were notified by a local hospital that they were treating a young child with a gunshot wound.

The child was driven to the E-R after being shot in the 200 block of Water Street in Alton Park.

Witnesses reported that they were standing outside when someone in an unknown vehicle shot at them around 10 PM.

The child was hit in the leg.

Police don’t have any suspect information to work with yet.
