Lee Highway traffic crash ends with 1 dead
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga police say a woman has died from a traffic crash on Sunday.
CPD was called to 6800 Lee Highway around 8 p.m. where two vehicles had collided.
69-year-old Janice Raper was transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS with life threatening injuries where she later passed due to those injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle was 26-year-old Charise Nash, who was also transported to the hospital by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.
Chattanooga police determined that the north and south traffic signals were green, allowing the second vehicle the right of way.
Officers with the Traffic Division are actively investigating the crash.
