Little Debbie IRONMAN Triathlon gets delayed by 45 minutes due to rain, but U.S. dominate the podium

1,600 people took part in the event; Drew Jordan wins men's division with 9:00:50 time; Amy Corrigan wins the women's division in a time of 9:45:55

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – If you were trying to go south from downtown this morning and afternoon, you probably got rained on and were forced to divert due to the Little Debbie IRONMAN Triathlon today.

Over 16 hundred participants took part in the race, which is a two and half mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a marathon all in one event.

The U.S. swept the podium on the men’s side, with Drew Jordan winning with a time of nine hours and 50 seconds.

The same goes for the women’s side, as Amy Corrigan topped the field, with a time of nine hours, 45 minutes and 55 seconds.

Due to the rain, the event began 45 minutes after its scheduled time.
