Local boy Finally Home After Spending Months in the Hospital

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Sunday afternoon, Senentz’s family threw a welcome home party for the young boy scout, after he spent nearly four months in intensive care.

“Adrian lost a lot of blood, due to a punctured lung, and required over 20 units of blood products,” said Senentz’s mom, Amanda Senentz,

Towards the end of January, Senentz, just 11-years-old at the time, was almost crushed to death by a tree being cut down, while clearing a trail with his Boy Scout troop. In addition to a fractured skull, his injures were pretty extensive.
Eleven of his 12 ribs were broken, and the young boy had to have almost half a lung removed in surgery.

But Sunday, Adrian was all smiles and recovering well. “I kinda think it’s kinda cool that Chattanooga’s just helping to support me while I was in the hospital, especially friends and family,” said Senentz.

Family members say Senentz’s journey is far from over, and are now collecting donations through Blood Assurance, the Ronald McDonald House, and their GoFundMe page. To send a donation to any of those charities, simply click the name.
