Local doctor and nurse practitioner sentenced to federal prison in pill mill case

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – A Chattanooga doctor and nurse practitioner sentenced to federal prison in "pill mill" case.

60-year-old Dr. Jerome Sherard was sentenced to 60 months and 67-year-old Charles Larmore was sentenced to 156 months.

Afterwards they both will have 3 years of probation.

Sherard was ordered to forfeit $192,956.31 to the U.S. and Larmore $375,829.20.

Larmore will also be fined $20,000.

They both plead guilty to charges that they distributed prescription drugs outside of their practice not for medical purposes.

They will also no longer be able to write prescriptions for controlled substances.

Two other people involved, Faith Blake and Barbara Lang, are awaiting sentencing.
