The other Lookout Valley fire from the weekend considered suspicious

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga firefighters says the blaze at a home on Beech Street Sunday evening is suspicious in nature.

46 year old robert Dawson says he heard a popping sound and went to investigate.

He found the front of his apartment engulfed in flames.

With the front door blocked by flames, he had to bust out a bedroom window and jump two stories.

Dawson injured both of his ankles in the fall.

He had to crawl to escape from the structure.

A firefighter also suffered minor burns putting out the blaze.

The investigation into the cause continues.
