Lookouts Beat Biloxi 4-0 to Claim Southern League Championship
Chattanooga claimed the series three games to two.
In game five on Monday, Biloxi threatened in the top of the second after loading the bases with nobody out, but Lookouts starter D.J.
Baxendale got out of the inning with two strikeouts and a ground-out.
Lookouts then got on the board in the bottom half of the inning.
Heiker Meneses led off with a triple, and then Stuart Turner doubled to left center to bring him home to make it 1-0.
Turner then scored moments later on a single up the middle from Shannon Wilkerson.
The Lookouts Max Kepler led off the bottom of the third with a homer over the seats in right to make it 3-0.
Stephen Wickens then added an RBI in the 7th to provide the final margin of victory.
For the Lookouts, it was their first Southern League title since 1988.
