Lookouts Clinch Second Half Division Title With 11-2 Win Over Montgomery
(lookouts.com) CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — T.J. White hit a two-run home run and had three hits, and Zack Littell allowed just two hits over six innings as the Chattanooga Lookouts defeated the Montgomery Biscuits 11-2 on Thursday.
With the win, the Lookouts captured the second half division title to go along with their first half division crown.
Littell (5-0) picked up the win after he struck out four and walked three while allowing two runs.
Montgomery took a 2-1 lead in the third after Jake Cronenworth hit an RBI single and Andrew Velazquez scored on a forceout.
After Chattanooga added two runs, the Lookouts extended their lead in the seventh inning when Nick Gordon hit a three-run home run and White hit a two-run home run.
The Lookouts later scored three runs in the eighth to punctuate the blowout.
Edwin Fierro (6-4) went five innings, allowing three runs and six hits while striking out two in the Southern League game.
With the win, Chattanooga improved to 16-5 against Montgomery this season.
