Lookouts Manage Only Four Hits in Losing 6-2 to Mississippi

(lookouts.com) CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) — Austin Riley doubled and singled as the Mississippi Braves beat the Chattanooga Lookouts 6-2 on Thursday.

Mississippi went up 5-0 in the third after Joey Meneses hit a two-run single and then scored on a two-run double by Keith Curcio.

The Braves tacked on another run in the fourth when Riley hit an RBI double, scoring Jared James.

Mississippi right-hander Touki Toussaint (2-3) picked up the win after allowing two runs on just two hits over five innings. Opposing starter Fernando Romero (11-9) took the loss in the Southern League game after a rough outing in which he allowed six runs and nine hits over five innings.

For the Lookouts, Jonathan Rodriguez homered and doubled, driving in two runs.

Despite the loss, Chattanooga is 8-2 against Mississippi this season.
