Lookouts Take 2-1 Lead in Playoff Series With Win Friday Over Montgomery

(lookouts.com) MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Felix Jorge allowed just three hits over six innings, leading the Chattanooga Lookouts over the Montgomery Biscuits in a 2-0 win on Friday.

Gabriel Moya struck Nick Ciuffo out with a runner on first to end the game for his 26th save of the season.

Jorge (11-3) struck out four and walked one to get the win.

The only score of the game came in the fourth inning when T.J. White hit a two-run home run.

Genesis Cabrera (5-5) went five innings, allowing two runs and five hits while striking out four in the Southern League game.

The Biscuits were held off the scoreboard for the fifth time this season, while the Lookouts’ staff recorded their 16th shutout of the year.

The Lookouts now lead the best-of-five series 2 games to one with game four set for Saturday night in the Scenic City.

If the Lookouts win game four, then they will be declared co-champions of the Southern League.

The league cancelled their championship round of the playoffs due to Hurricane Irma.
