Major water main break on Dayton Blvd at the intersection of Ivanwood Drive and HWY 153

A ten-inch water main break has occurred in the median of Dayton Blvd at the intersection of Ivanwood Drive and Highway 153.

Current Road Closures Due to Active Water Flow:

Northbound Dayton Blvd
Southbound Dayton Blvd
Access ramp from Dayton Blvd to northbound HWY 153
Access ramp from Dayton Blvd to southbound HWY 153
Access ramp from HWY 153 southbound to Dayton Blvd southbound
Ivanwood Drive

Drivers needing to access Ivanwood Drive must follow directions from on-site flagmen, according to the City of Chattanooga Public Works.

Anticipated Reopenings:

Southbound Dayton Blvd and the ramp from HWY 153 southbound to Dayton Blvd southbound are expected to reopen once the water main valve is located and closed.

Extended Closures:

Due to heavy damage, Dayton Blvd northbound and the access ramps to HWY 153 are expected to remain closed through the weekend and on Monday.
