Man arrested after SWAT standoff on Bailey Ave

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A man is behind bars after a SWAT standoff last night on Bailey Avenue.

Police say it happened around 11 last night on Bailey Ave between Hawthorne & Orchard knob.

They arrested Jermaine Jackson for two counts of aggravated robbery.

The arrest report says that two woman identified him as one of the four males who they say robbed him Friday.

The Chattanooga Police Department and the SWAT Division blocked off bailey avenue for several hours, but say they brought the suspect in without incident.

No word on why Jackson was at this residence or what led police to him there.

The woman told police they recognized the males because they went to school together a few years ago.

Police say another male was identified by his Facebook page, but he is a juvenile and they won’t be releasing his name.
