Man charged with attempted murder and rape in second attack of ex-girlfriend
Collegedale Police say he was out on bond from the first attack when the second one happened
COLLEGEDALE, Tennessee (WDEF) – Collegedale Police have arrested a man in the second attack on his ex-girlfriend.
Back in September, Kenneth Iverson McKenzie, Jr. was charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, felony theft, interference with emergency calls, and vandalism after police say he borke into her home.
He was granted bond and was released from jail.
Then on October 29, police say he attacked her again, when her three year old daughter was at home.
This time, the changes include first degree murder and aggravated rape.
He was still out on bond from the first attack.
Despite the repeat charges, McKenzie is still out on a $200,000 bond.
But the Collegedale judge has ordered him to wear a GPS ankle monitor this time.
