Maryville Asserts Itself in Second Half in Beating Ooltewah 54-34

Ooltewah, TN-(WDEF) Ooltewah and Maryville traded blows in the first half before the Rebels pulled away in the final two quarters
to win the region match up 54-34 on Thursday night.
The Owls took a 28-21 lead in the second quarter on a short TD run by quarterback Kyrell Sanford.
Then Maryville out-scored Ooltewah 33-6 the rest of the way.
The Rebels scored twice before the first half ended to go up 35-28 at the break.
In the third quarter, Rebels QB Dylan Hopkins hit Byron Brown on a 32-yard touchdown pass to make it 41-28. The PAT was blocked.
Then to start the fourth, Hopkins scrambled before hitting A.J. Davis with a short touchdown toss to make it 47-28.
Ooltewah’s top running back, Sincere Quinn, returned to the game tonight following an injury, but shortly after scoring a touchdown in the second quarter, he
had to leave the game after taking a big hit.
