Mayor Berke signs minority business executive order

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Mayor Andy Berke says he wants to make sure all business owners in the city have an equal chance to succeed.

He signed an Executive Order this afternoon, encouraging the participation of minority, and women-owned businesses when it comes to getting grants and contracts.

That order creates several initiatives for those two groups.

It also establishes a working group to review the current practices.
