Mayor Wamp encourages residents to take survey ahead of State of the County
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp will give his first State of the County address on Friday.
During the speech, the mayor will recap his time in office and share a vision for the future of Hamilton County.
But, before he gives his address, Wamp is asking residents to share their thoughts in an online survey.
Mary Francis Hoot, Director of Communications for the Mayors office said that questions address county priorities and will inform Mayor Wamp’s decisions for the new budget, “The meat of the survey is what is the biggest issue facing Hamilton County and what are the top three priorities to you as a Hamilton County resident,” Hoot said. Some of those options are: public health, the opioid crisis, public safety, growth and new development in the county, volunteer fire and ambulance services. Things of that nature we just really want to hear from residents on input and how tax dollars should be allocated.”
The 3-minute survey can be found at stateofthecounty.org.
You can also RSVP for the State of the County at that site.
The survey closes on Sunday.
