McCallie Looking to Upset Brentwood Academy to Advance to State Title Game

Chattanooga-(WDEF) McCallie will look to advance to the state title game Friday night as they battle Brentwood Academy in the semifinals of the playoffs.
The top ranked Eagles beat the Blue Tornado earlier this season 46-24.
McCallie was down only seven at the half before Brentwood hit the big play button in the second half.
However, McCallie’s 24 points were the most Brentwood has allowed all season.
The Blue Tornado need to upset the Eagles to advance to their first state championship game since 2006.
Said McCallie head coach Ralph Potter:”We’ve got to make sure in the kicking game that we don’t give them short fields. We did that a bunch. And then offensively, we played pretty well the first half against them, and that was a good model for us. We had over 200 yards the first half.”
Reporter:”Do you even talk about what this game means to the players?”
Said Potter:”Well I think they know and they understand. Last week was a big win for us because we hadn’t been to the semis in awhile. And so they understand what the game means, and I hope they are ready to play.”
