McMinn County thin on the line experienced at the skilled positions

McMINN COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF)- “We’re not gonna have that luxury this year. We’re gonna have some growing pains with young guys and young freshman but we gotta get through that,” said Cagle.

McMinn County football is known for being experienced on the offense and defensive line. This year head coach Bo Cagle says they are thin in the trenches.

Now those are the things that are concerning to us. We probably won more games in the past by being dominant of the defensive front and the defensive front is the main issue right now.

One of the few returning lineman is Luke Chouinard who Cagle says has stepped up and shown freshman the way.

It’s not even a deal of how many people we have it who wants to play. We have to see who can do this. It don’t matter if you’re a freshman or senior. We have two freshmen playing right now it’s all about who wants to be there.

We laid all the boards out and did one on one for 15 minutes. If you’re and offensive lineman then I got to see you are going to fight right there.

Where McMinn will have more experience then most is it returns almost every skill position player including QB Jaylon Miller.

Where we are normally then is where we got numbers this year our skill positions out receivers and defensive backs we’re two deep at almost all positions.
