Medical Examiner: Homicide victim was strangled

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Medical Examiner has ruled strangulation as the cause of death of 30 year old Taja Whiteside.

Her body was found in her home at Moody Sawyer Road in Hixson on January 11th.

Her son discovered her sitting on the bedroom floor and called an ambulance.

Police at first could not figure out how she died, but soon ruled the case a homicide.
