Meet Chattanooga’s first baby of 2017

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — A local hospital welcomes the first baby born in Chattanooga in 2017.

Kathy Pedro Orozco was born at Erlanger Baroness Hospital at 6:12 a.m., Sunday.

Kathy is Mabdial Escalante and Catarina Orozco’s third child, and first girl.

The couple tells News 12 they’re excited to have a daughter.

Kathy weighs more than six pounds.

Both she and her mother are doing well.

At least eight babies were born at Erlanger Baroness Hospital on New Year’s Day.
