Mocs Brace For Triple Option Attack Against Citadel

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) If college football coaches took a vote to outlaw the triple option, Mocs coach Rusty Wright would likely vote twice to do it.
Chattanooga defends the dangerous offense Saturday against the Citadel.
UTC’s defense must get the Bulldogs off the field, so they don’t dominate the clock with the run-heavy attack.

Said head coach Rusty Wright:”You’ve got to win first down. That’s the whole deal. We’ve got to figure out a way to win first down. If we can get them a little bit off schedule, we’ll have a better chance on third and fourth down. That’s. That’s the largest problem. We need it. We need it for us as a program because we haven’t played an option football team since 2019 and our league has got option teams and option principles in it.”

Mocs and Bulldogs kick at 1pm Saturday in Charleston.
