Mrs B’s Reggae Cafe Gives Back on Thanksgiving
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- A local restaurant also made sure to open its doors on Thanksgiving to help those less fortunate.
Mrs. B’s Reggae Cafe fed the homeless and others during a special luncheon today.
People got to enjoy a holiday dinner of turkey, dressing, green beans and more.
Owners say there’s a reason why they opened the restaurant today.
“Things are tough for a lot of people but there are some who have even way less. And, there are some who have a shelter over their head, but they do not have families to sit with and dine, or they’re not able to fix their own meals and so um, we we’ve been making an effort to do more and more for those who are in need,” says the owner, Marilyn Forsythe.
Marilyn Forsythe says they were able to provide the meal because people donated the turkey, ham and other items.
