Man charged with multiple crimes against women, including child rape

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police have charged Toran Madding (who also uses the name Chapman) with a string of domestic assaults this year that includes child rape.

Police got the first call on him on January 9th.

A woman told police that he punched her in the face and choked her.

They charged him with aggravated assault for that incident.

11 days later, another victim says she was arguing with Madding when he grabbed her hair and pushed her head into a refrigerator.

A witness reported seeing him sitting on her, choking her.

Then on January 26th, a woman called officers saying a young relative told her that Madding had sexually assaulted her.

The victim is a pre-teen.

After further investigation Madding was charged Thursday in that case.

So in all, he faces charges of Child Rape, Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Assault Domestic on three different females.

But CPD Special Victims Unit Investigators are still looking to see if there could be more victims.
