Mystery Solved: The wrecked car on Bonny Oaks was suspected in several local shooting calls

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The case of the wrecked car off Bonny Oaks Wednesday morning goes back to an overnight traffic stop and chase.

Chattanooga Police say Officer Hunter Morgan spotted a white Dodge Charger that was suspected in various shooting calls.

He tried to pull the Charger over, but the driver never stopped.

Instead, he fled at a high rate of speed before losing control and cashing down an embankment.

Then multiple occupants ran into the woods.

Police contained the area and began a search that lasted into the morning.

The first occupant was caught soon afterwards without incident.

Another was caught by Officer Steven Meador and his K9, Duco.

The final two suspects were caught around six AM in a nearby neighborhood.

Officers found multiple weapons in the car, an SKS assault rifle, a Tech 9 handgun and a Glock .45 caliber handgun.

They also found that the car, itself, was stolen.

Two of the suspects are juveniles.

Another is 26 year old Anthony Jackson, who had an outstanding drug charge out against him.

The fourth suspect is 22 year old Caddarious Sales, who faces a drug possession charge and a gun charge.

Police say more charges are pending against the four.
