New court date set for tax preparer accused of sexual battery

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee(WDEF) – John Crowell, 59, of Chattanooga appeared before judge Don Poole for his arraignment.

Crowell didn’t have an attorney so judge Poole granted him a later court date so he would have enough time to attain legal council.
Crowell is a Chattanooga tax preparer who was indicted by a grand jury on a sexual battery allegation that occurred last October.

His next court appears is set for October 3.
