Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – The Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor recommends Flora Tydings as Chattanooga State’s next president.

The board will meet on May 27th at a special called meeting.

Board members are expected to approve of Tydings.

She would replace the Interim President Fannie Hewlett, who agreed to serve after Jim Catanzaro retired as president of the college in December.

Tydings has been the president of Athens Technical College for 12 years.

She’s expected to start at Chattanooga State on July 13th.
