CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Before stand up boards, jet skis or the River Gorge Explorer, there was another way to float the Tennessee River.

Each year, Chattanooga held a raft race downtown to raise money for local charities.

And 30 years ago, your parents may have just taken the plunge.
