Nickels for Nepal pancake breakfast

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF)- Nickels for Nepal and Gamma Chapter of Kappa Kappa Iota will host a pancake breakfast at Applebee’s Northgate on May 30th.

The event will be from 7:30 to 9:30 am and the goal is to provide the school children and their families with emergency relief supplies in the remote villages severely damaged by the two severe earthquakes.

Most of the homes in the Mijar Village of the Nukwot Region have been destroyed, along with the entire Gorkha Village School.

"Without the assistance of Kavya School Principal, Nawaraj Baskota, and his team of volunteers along with Chris Smith of Chattanooga volunteering for Nickels for Nepal, desperately needed supplies of food and water would not have reached these remote villages," said Chris Hockert, Chairman of the Board of Nickels for Nepal.

Tickets for the event are $10.00 each and can be obtained at the door, or by contacting Chris Hockert 423-596-9217.
