Northwest Georgia forming a cold case unit

LAFAYETTE, Georgia (WDEF) – The District Attorney’s Office in the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit is forming a new cold case unit.

The Circuit covers Dade, Walker, Catoosa and Chattooga counties in the northwest corner of Georgia.

D-A Chris Arnt says he has appointed ADA Clay Fuller to lead the team which will work with both local and state law enforcement.

They will target unsolved murders and sexual assault cases.

Arnt says “Right now there is a victim’s family without answers.  Right now there is a violent criminal who thinks they got away with the crime.

“To that family; we never forget.  To that criminal; we will bring you to justice.”

“If you have information about an unsolved crime, you can contact us at lmjcda@pacga.org”
