Operation Temptation cracks down on prostitution in Bradley County

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) – Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson and District Attorney Steve Crump talked about Operation Temptation with the media on Wednesday.

It was a two part crackdown on local prostitution.

Officers went undercover in December for Part One and arrested 9 people.

Then they got another 13 over the weekend.

The arrests were evenly distributed between sex workers and their clients.

Sheriff Watson pointed out that the investigation also had a major drug component.

His officers came across meth, marijuana, crack, pills and ecstasy.

He pointed out that some of the human trafficking moved to Bradley County from Jacksonville and Dallas.

D.A Crump promised “We well be very stern in the prosecution of these cases.”
