Patrick Core’s Winter Forecast begins playing out this week

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) In case you missed it during Thanksgiving Week, Patrick Core issued his annual winter forecast for 2016-17.

And it is already beginning to come true.

Patrick called for a “normal” winter for precipitation, which means a big break from the drought.

The biggest rain event since last spring is moving into our area today and tomorrow, with another coming over the weekend.

Patrick is also calling for 3 snows in the valley of 1 inch or more.

And he predicts a “normal” winter for temperatures, which means a colder season than we had last year.
