Pedestrian fatally struck along Shallowford Rd.

Police need the public's help to learn what happened

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Police Department responded to a pedestrian that was killed after being hit by a car Saturday afternoon.

Police got a call at close to 12:30 saying a man was hit in the 5900 block of Shallowford Road.

When officers got there, the man was lying dead on the side of the road.

The cashier at the gas station across the street says the man was lying right in front of the Tranco sign, but he never saw what happened.

Police took surveillance videos from the gas station, but those did not turn up any significant evidence.

Anyone with information on what happened is asked to call the police department or use the Atlas One mobile app.

You don’t have to give your name.
