Pedestrian walking dog dies after being hit by two vehicles

Police are searching for the second driver

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Two vehicles struck a pedestrian Wednesday night on Bonny Oaks Drive, resulting in a fatality.

Chattanooga Police responded to the call that came in shortly after 9:30 p.m.

The pedestrian was walking her dog and attempting to cross Bonny Oaks Drive at the intersection of Lee Highway. She was then hit by two vehicles, Chattanooga Police said.

When officers arrived, they said the driver of the first vehicle was attempting life-saving measures on the pedestrian.

However, the driver of the second vehicle fled the scene.

First responders pronounced the 54-year-old woman dead at the scene.

The CPD said they are investigating to find information about the unknown second vehicle.
