Pedestrian Struck by Train Near Market Street

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Late Saturday afternoon, Chattanooga Police responded to a pedestrian struck by a train near 2900 Market Street.

The incident occurred on the railroad tracks that pass under the bridge approximately 1,000 yards east of 2900 Market Street.

The pedestrian, identified as Brittany Boyd, 32, was walking near the tracks when they were struck by a train operated by CSX.

Boyd was transported with non-life threatening injuries to a local hospital.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Dispatchers say a person was struck by a train in Chattanooga.

Chattanooga Police responded to a pedestrian struck call near Market Street and Alton Park Boulevard around 4:40 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Hamilton County dispatchers tell News 12 one person was hit by a train.

According to dispatch, that person was taken to a local hospital.

There is no word yet on the condition of the victim.
