Phil Fulmer Emerges as Candidate For Vols Athletic Director’s Job

Could we see former Vols football Phil Fulmer back on Rocky Top as the University’s athletic director?
According to ESPN, Fulmer has emerged as a prime candidate to be Tennessee’s new AD.
Fulmer spent more than 30 years in Knoxville as a Vols player and coach.
He of course was the head coach when UT won the national title in 1998.
When contacted by ESPN about the Vols athletic director’s position, Fulmer did not address the job opening specifically, but he added since he was 18-years-old, UT’s best interests have always been his best interests.
Tennessee is looking to replace Dave Hart who is leaving in June.
Mocs athletic director David Blackburn is also considered a candidate for the job.
