Polar Plunge Event at Lula Lake Canceled due to Weather

Lula Lake Land Trust has canceled their Polar Plunge event for Sunday, January 6th after postponing the event earlier last year.

The foundation said on their Facebook on Saturday that the reasoning was due to weather conditions and flooding.

A spokesperson said, “Lula Lake is raging with swift currents. We value the safety of our visitors and feel this is the best action to take.”

Proceeds from the event were going to help in preserving the natural and historic landscapes surrounding Rock Creek and Bear Creek.

If you purchased a ticket, Lula Lake says that you will receive a detailed email about the change.
