Police: 5-year-old abducted, sexually assaulted in DeKalb County GA
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (CBS46) – Police say a 5-year-old child was abducted and sexually assaulted in DeKalb County on Friday.
DeKalb County police say they responded to the Value Mall in the 5600 block of Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain around 4:30 p.m. after being told the child was wandering alone.
Police say the child told them she was picked up by a man she didn’t know and later dropped off on Memorial Drive.
The child was taken to the hospital where it was discovered that she was sexually assaulted after an evaluation, according to authorities.
Police say while they were with the child, they also received a kidnapping call from the apartment complex where she was taken after her 8-year-old brother told their mom she was missing.
