Police arrest suspect in Wilcox crash/shooting case

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police make an arrest in one of the city’s more dramatic shootings this summer.

They’re charging Desmond Trammell with killing Desmond Clay on Wilcox Boulevard July 26th.

Late that night, Clay was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a car that had crashed into a dry cleaning business.

The victim later died at the hospital.

Trammel’s charges include criminal homicide and the unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.
