Police chase teens on 4-wheeler

FORT PAYNE, Alabama (WDEF) – Police in Fort Payne got into a chase with teens on a 4-wheeler on Friday.

It started with a complaint from neighbors about the two males riding down Beason Gap.

A patrolman tried to preform a traffic stop on them, but they ran.

The chase ran north onto Godfrey Avenue, past Fort Payne Middle School, the Sequoyah Trailer Park and Green Valley Subdivision.

Officers say they passed several cars in the oncoming lane of traffic.

Eventually they left the streets and got on the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks.

Officers continued to follow and finally caught them in a wooded area near Nucor Steels.

The juveniles were 15 and 16 years old.

They face charges of Attempting to Elude Officers and Reckless Endangerment.
