Police identify two suspects in East Ridge shooting case

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) — East Ridge Police provided an update on a shooting that occurred on Poindexter Avenue on Monday.

Police arrested 20-year-old Travell Harris and 22-year-old Mikia Hudgins on charges related to shooting two people in a home.

Officers say they found two males in the home with gunshot wounds on their lower body. They did not identify the victims.

Those on scene alerted police that the suspects fled in a gray Nissan. An officer found that vehicle on South Seminole Drive shortly after.

East Ridge Police later found the suspects fleeing on foot.

They charged Hudgins with evading arrest, attempted escape and attempted murder.

Police also charged Harris with evading arrest, auto burglary and attempted murder.

 

The police department says one victim was treated for his wounds at Erlanger Hospital and released.

The other victim was taken into surgery and is still in the ICU, according to police.
