Police investigate Graysville Road home invasion

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Early Monday morning Chattanooga Police responded to a home invasion at the 1000 block of Graysville Rd.

Upon arrival, police located a victim suffering from injuries received during the home invasion. 55-year-old Willam Green, received medical attention and was transported by HCEMS to a local hospital in serious condition.

The victim advised that multiple suspects were inside his residence when he arrived home. He was subsequently tied up and ordered to reveal the location of his money.

The victim received burn injuries to his body during the incident. A forensic investigation will follow once the victim has received treatment for his injuries.

Due to the ongoing investigation, there are no details with regard to the suspects which can be released at this time.

Investigators believe that the victim was specifically targeted and are confident that there is no general threat to the public

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police don’t have much to go on so far in a home invasion case this morning.

It happened after 6AM at a home in the 1000 block of Graysville Road.

Suspects fled the scene, but investigators don’t have a good description yet.

They say the victim was still too incoherent as they were rushed to the hospital.

Police report the injury is non-life threatening.

Investigators hope to get a better description from the victim at a later time.
