Police investigate Monday afternoon shooting in Alton Park

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Chattanooga police are currently investigating a shooting  that happened this afternoon.

The shooting happened on Central avenue near Greater St. Mary Baptist Church shortly after 4:30 pm.

Police say one male party has been shot and he is suffering from non life threatening injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation and we will update you when we know more.
