Police investigate shooting on Greenway View Drive

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police were called to a parking lot at 5799 Brainerd Road at 12:19 p.m. Saturday afternoon on reports of a person shot.

Chattanooga Police say they found the victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Police identified the victim as 18-year-old Vashawn Evans who is a validated gang member.

According to their investigation, Chattanooga Police say the shooting occurred in the parking lot of 490 Greenway View Drive.

The Violent Crime Bureau is actively investigating.
