Portland man charged with bringing ecstasy, LSD and heroin into Soddy Daisy

SODDY DAISY, Tennessee (WDEF) Soddy Daisy police have charged an Oregon man on a variety of drug charges.

It began with a traffic stop on Highway 27 on Sunday.

The officer pulled over the vehicle for following him with its bright lights on.

He became suspicious when he smelled a strong sent of marijuana in the vehicle.

A check of the occupants found that the DEA had seized cash from the passenger, Daniel Ray Kappes of Portland, Oregon.

After a thorough search of the car, officers found vials of Hash oil, 100 tabs of ecstasy, 40 vials of liquid LSD, plus several grams of hashish and heroin.

Kappes faces five counts of drug possession and possession for resale.

The driver was just cited for marijuana possession and a traffic warning.
