President of the Better Business Bureau retires after 18 years
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn (WDEF) – The president of the local Better Business Bureau has announced that he is retiring.
Jim Winsett has been with the BBB for the last 18 years.
During his tenure the visibility and growth of the BBB has increased dramatically in the 11 counties the Southeast Tennessee bureau represents.
Over the years Winsett has been the leader in advancing marketplace trust throughout our community.
“Our staff helps people every day. You feel good about that at the end of the day. You know that you have helped consumers of businesses that may have been taken advantage of in some way. If we have eliminated some of that risk and possibility in the marketplace then you leave at the end of the day knowing you have assisted someone,” says Jim Winsett, President of the BBB.
Jim Winsett will continue to live in Chattanooga and is looking forward to supporting local nonprofit organizations and traveling with his wife.
His successor will be announced later Monday evening.
