President Obama Mentions Chattanooga For High Speed Internet

Cedar Falls, Iowa (WDEF) President Obama mentioned Chattanooga Wednesday as he called for the repeal of laws that prevent communities from making their own broadband networks.

The president pointed to Chattanooga as transforming itself into a regional center for technology and innovation.

He talked about our gig-bit city, and how its attracting entrepreneurs and computer programmers from around the country.

The president wants cities to have faster, more accessible high internet speeds to allow more local businesses the chance to compete in the global economy.
